Chamber Information

The Albany Chamber of Commerce enables business people to accomplish collectively, what no one business could do alone. It gives them choice in civic affairs and politics, locally and nationally. Chamber members provide a united effort to improve the overall well-being of the community.

One of the greatest values of Chamber membership comes through its successful programs to improve the economic climate and quality of life in the Albany area. Chamber programs are developed to produce a healthy, expanding economy which creates more demand for goods and services, ultimately benefiting the entire community.

Business Development

Through the Governmental Affairs Committee we offer business advocacy on local, state and federal issues, often saving you tax dollars and supporting pro-business values. The annual trade show, Businesses on Display, provides members with a venue to showcase their products and services to over 1000 business leaders and the general public. The Greeters, Business After Hours and Membership Forums all provide a comfortable setting for networking, prospecting, and developing new leads. The inclusion of the Business Intelligence Report in the monthly newsletter provides members with timely business information and trends to support your business. The Chamber Dollars program is designed to keep dollars in the Albany are and direct them to other chamber members.

Community Development

Our mission statement, "Your Business & Community Advocate," takes many different forms. Leadership Albany and Albany Chamber Youth Leadership offer individuals a broad understanding of our great community and avenues for their own leadership involvement. Monthly Membership Forums give members the opportunity to listen to key leaders on important topics of interest. Chamber Ambassadors can be seen regularly in the community welcoming new businesses and demonstrating their community spirit. The Annual Distinguished Service Awards Banquet highlights the accomplishments of our areas finest citizens and youth. The Chamber also places a high degree of importance on raising the standards of education and helping students achieve success. Students of the Month, the Youth Job Fair and our High School Scholarships are also excellent ways the chamber honors exceptional youth, helping to build the leaders of tomorrow.
